Happy Tails (Adoptions 2004)

Don Juan (DJ) - Adopted

DJ2.jpg

Yeah, I have been adopted by a wonderful family. I am so happy, I just cannot contain myself. It feels so great to have my very own family to love and cherish, and I promise to take very good care of them. I am learning life can be wonderful. Thank you.

Candy - Adopted

CandyPF.jpg

My name is Candy. I am a 6 year old boxer lady, and lady does apply to me. I came into rescue with my son Buford. We have both been adopted by our foster mom. She fell in love with the both of us. We have a boxer sister and brother, a skin kid of our very own, and a new mom and dad. We are so lucky.

Buford - Adopted

BufordPF2.jpg

My mom Candy and I get to stay together, can you believe our good fortune. Our foster family, now our real family just could not part with either of us. They just could not stand to see us seperated. Honestly, I rely on my mom to much, but the Claise's are trying to bring me out of it. They want me to make some decisions on my own. But we all get to stay together and I love my new family, especially my new mom. You talk about love at first sight, well it happens, it happened to us.

Tyson - Adopted

Tyson.jpg

My name is Tyson. I am 11 months old and I just love everyone. I love people, other dogs and cats. I love everything, especially my new family. Yeap, I have been adopted by a wonderful family. I have a new family to play with me, love on me and cuddle me. Well I do deserve the very best and I believe the rescue people have found that for me.

Sadie - Adopted

Sadie2BBR.jpg

Yippee!!! I have been adopted. It is so wonderful to be a member of a family again. My foster home was great, but it's not like having your own family to love and care for you. I don't know if they fell in love with my perfect manners and obedience, my being a dream walking on leash, or maybe it's just all of me in general, but whatever it is, I am thankful to be loved again. Sincerely, Sadie

Benjamin - Adopted

DCP00307.jpg

I am Benjamin, I am approximately 7-8 years old. I have some gray on my muzzle, and I may not be able to jump or bounce up on the couch or bed like I once did, but it hasn't slowed me down any. I am still very active for my age. I enjoy laying on the couch beside you with my big head in you lap. I love nothing better than to go for car rides with you or nice leisurely walks. I may pull some starting out but settle down rather nicely. I get along with all the other dogs here of either sex, and don't mind sharing a home with those other little furry critters, you know the ones that meow and jump on everything and scare you to death when they land on you. I am very good with children, I love them, big or little, it doesn't matter. I am fully housetrained, and have good house manners, just don't leave a nice big juicy hamburger on the coffee table for I may not be able to resist. I am fully vaccinated, neutered and on heartworm preventative. I am a lover, so don't be suprised if I jump (easily) on you and wrap my paws around your waist and hold on for dear life, I just want to love and be loved again. I have been waiting so patiently for my new family, I know I am older, grayer, and have slowed down some, but I am not done in yet. I still have much love to give to the right family.

Marco - Adopted

MarcoPF2.jpg

Hello there, my name is Marco. I am approximately 5 months old and a super-duper little guy. As you can see I am a very fine looking flashy boy. My foster mom says I am doing really great on the housetraining thing and says I am now semi-housetrained. I know a few basic commands, but am not very consistant just yet. I am very young, and so playful my attention seems to wonder to more pleasant things. I love everyone and everything, all sizes included. I am a very playful fellow, but also sweet and loving. Not sure why a beautiful boy like me should be looking for a new home, but I am. Do you have room in your heart and home for a gorgeous boy like me?

Crystal - Adopted

Crystalpf5.jpg

Hey, it's me Crystal and I am happy to be moved to the Happy Tails Page, that means I have been adopted. Yeah!!! I now have my very own family to love me. It has been so long since I have had a family all my own. I will miss my foster mom and I know she will me to, but she knows what is best for me, and now I HAVE IT ALL.

Boomer - Adopted

Boomer7.JPG

My name is Boomer, and I am a very pretty boy, my picture just doesn't do me justice. I am approximately 2-3 years old. I have been neutered and am up-to-date on all my vaccines, heartworm negative and on preventative. I am also crate trained. I love adults and children of all ages and sizes. I even get along with the kitty cats, but please no male dogs in my new home, I like being the dominate male but do get along well with non-dominate females. I am working on leash walking, you see I have a very curious nose and love investigating all those smells and do very well with a training collar. I know some basic obedience commands and a few tricks as well. I am very well housetrained and have nice house manners. I love playing and really enjoy a good round of playing ball with the kids in the back yard.

BartPF.jpg

Bart - Adopted

Hey, It's me Bart. Good news for everyone, I am going to my forever home the end of May. I hate to be leaving my sisters and mom, but I will have my very own family to love and care for me. Isn't that great? Wish me lots of luck.

Bart

SassyPF.jpg

Sassy - Adopted

Guess what, I also have been adopted. I am going to my forever home the end of May also. My new family has waited so patiently for me and are so excited that I will be ready soon now. I hate to leave my real mom, brother and sister, but we all need our very own families to love and care for us. I have found mine.

See Ya...................Sassy

AbigailWeb.jpg

Abigail - Adopted

I was very lucky when I came into care that a perfect home was waiting for me and never made it to the adoption page. I was known by the rescue folks as Ally, but my new family thinks Abigail just suits me much better. I am a real love bug and just love my new family.

April - Adopted

April1.jpg

AprilPF.jpg

April is a gorgeous classic fawn girlie. She is now 7 weeks of age and is a very playful girlie. She likes to be with other dogs and would be a good match for a home that has a male boxer already in place. She is very curious and loves to sit still and have her ears and belly rubbed. And TOYS.....she loves plush toys and toys that make noise. She dearly loves to snuggle and is wonderful at cuddling.

Ranger - Adopted

Ranger05-04.jpg

Hey there, I am Ranger. I am approximately 9 months old. I am a cool dude who gets along with darn near all canine companions, all people - big, little, it doesn't matter. I just love them all. I have good manners- but I like to jump at times. I have high energy and will require lots of play time with you. I might also like to point out that I am a good looking guy, housetrained and have begun obedience training. They recognize just how smart a fellow I am. See ya around.....Ranger

China - Adopted

ChinaPF.jpg

Yeah, I have been adopted by the Sutton family. They are wonderful, I have a king size bed to sleep on with mom and dad and a little furry brother named Scruffy. I also have 2 skin kids to give kisses to. My name is China, I wasn't orginally given that name but it just seems to fit me. I have just came into the rescue program and they have found out that I am fully housetrained, know some basic obedience commands and I have wonderful house manners. I do not walk well on leash, but that could be from being so happy to get out of the shelter that I just pulled to get somewhere else. I am crate trained and just love everyone. I love giving out those boxer kisses to who ever is available. I was pulled from a shelter in southern Kentucky where I was picked up as a stray and no one could find me, or just didn't care to. I have already found the toy basket and have made myself useful in scattering the toys all about. Oh, I really love all the toys here. Please check back as the rescue people learn even more about me. China Girl

Lucas - Yeah, I have a new home with my foster family.

LucasWeb.jpg Hey there, I have a new life beginning and a new name, Lucas. I am approximately 16mo - 2 years old. I came from a shelter here in KY where I had been running as a stray. I am very suprise no one came looking for me. My foster mom thinks I may be fully housetrained, I have been here a week and not one mistake in her home. I suprised her yesterday and rang the bell on the door, I really had to go and she didn't see me at the door, but she sure heard me. I get along great with non-dominate females and even the kitty doesn't seem to mind me snooping around. I do have a tendency to jump on people to get their attention, we are working on that right now, but you know how hard that is to break. I am a very big boxer boy, a little underweight, but that is something else my foster mom is working on. I will certainly have to have a family that is willing to take me to obedience class, I know I would benefit greatly and become a better member of your household. I am learning what toys are about (if I can steal one from that other boxer girl that is here, she hogs them all) and find I really like them. Thanks for listening to my ramblings....................Lucas

HolmesWeb.jpg

Holmes - I have a new family to give my love to.

HI, I am called Holmes. As you can see I am cropped and docked, and ever so handsome, maybe even a bit noisy as I'm checking out the flower garden. I get along great with everyone even children. I don't mind those cat things that lurk and suprise you, and I get along very well with other canine friends. I am approximately 3 years old. I am scheduled for that neuter thing shortly, I have heard stories about that from some of the others. I would love a home with another girlie to play with. I am up to date on my vaccines and am being placed on heartworm preventative. I am very excited that the rescue people are looking for me a new home of my own. Thank you for listening...............Holmes

Sophie - No more sad looks for me - I now have my very own family.

Sophieweb.jpg

Hello, My name is Sophie and I happen to be a beautiful flashy lady. I am approximately 2-3 years old, and happen to be so irresistable and loving. I get along with other male dogs, the rescue people are not sure about females. I am fully housetrained and have wonderful house manners, I do everything right. I came into rescue heartworm positive and have already started my treatment. I am about half way through the treatment, so glad the rough part is over. I will be brought up-to-date on my vaccines, spayed and ready for my new home by the end of May. I have really enjoyed Bruno sharing his home and family with me and making me feel welcome. They have taken very good care of me, but am so looking forward to having a home and family of my own. Sincerely, Sophie

ABBY - Adopted

AbbyPlaybowPF.jpg

AbbyMayPF.jpg

My name is Abby. I am approximately 2 years old. I am looking for someone who will love me, care for me, and want to be with me forever. I am a sweet good natured girl who loves to play. I promise to love you forever. I am not a cat lady, so would prefer a home without the kitties. I also prefer a home without small children, I do wonderful with older kids who will play with me. I am fully housetrained, up to date on all my vaccines, heartworm negative and on preventative. My foster mom thinks I would love to be involved in agility, you see, I have a very strong drive, I will do a lot for that ball. I also get along well with other non-dominate dogs for I am a mildly dominate female. I am currently learning several basic obedience commands, I know sit, down, doing well on heel, and stay (as long as it's not to long yet), leave it - well I just can't. Are you my new family? I am waiting so impatiently.

UPDATE 5-25-04: I have just completed formal basic obedience class and I even got a certificate. My teacher even thinks I would do very well in agility or train as a search and rescue dog. She believes that I need a job to perform and with my search, hunt, and toy drives I may be a very good candidate for search and rescue. I have unwavering focus when there is a toy involved, especially if it squeaks.

YEAH I have been adopted. My daddy works from home so we get to spend lots of time together. I finally have a family all my own, I have a mom and dad along with skin kids, oh what a lucky girl I am

Buddy - Adopted

BuddyPF.jpgHi, my name is Buddy. I am a handsome guy with a wonderful personality. I like kids, other dogs and I love to play. The rescue people do not know yet how I do with those kitty cats and I just haven't been able to tell them, they don't understand me that well yet. I have cute floppy ears and I am a deep mahogany color. I love being fostered with 3 other boxers and my foster mom says I am the easiest one of all to go into my crate when it is time. I will be neutered next week and ready for adoption after that. The rescue lady says I won't be here long. So get your applications in quickly if you think I may be a good addition to your family.

Macey - Adopted

MaceyPF1.jpg

MaceyPF.jpgHey there, Macey here. I was told to tell you about myself but don't want you to think I am full of myself. First off - I AM A SURVIVOR, survivor of what you think, I have defeated Parvo and Distemper, that is why I haven't been listed for a while. I have been in the hospital getting well. My doctor says I cannot get adopted for about a month, so come the end of July or 1st of August I can go to my new home. Sure hope I have one waiting for me. OK, enough about that and on to more about me, Macey. I am a 9 month old brindle girl, with a small white strip between my eyes. I really am quite beautiful. My foster mom thinks I am fully housetrained, I am crate trained, and get along with the male dogs here. We are not sue about females yet or kitty cats. My foster mom thinks I may be one of those dominate females when I grow up. I am up to date on all my vaccines, wish they would have been given to me earlier in life so I wouldn't have been at deaths door. I love playing with toys, they are great, and the older fur kdis here. I am very playful and still very much the young puppy. I am learning what they call house manners, not getting into things I shouldn't like the trash, jumping on the tables and counters, not tearing things up, you know puppy stuff. My foster mom will start me on some basic obedience once I have recouperated some and get all my strength back. She was worried sick about me the whole time I was in the hospital. I don't think I have had anyone to worry about me so much before, it is kind of nice. If you think I may be the one you have been looking for, please fill out the on-line application. I would love to have a home to go to as soon as I can. Thank you for listening - Macey

Sawyer - Adopted

SawyerPF.jpg

I am known as Sawyer. I was very lucky, I never made it to the adoptable pages. My foster mom's friend took one look at me and knew I was the one for him. I feel like a very lucky guy. Thanks......Sawyer

Rascal - Adopted

RascalPF2.jpg

RascalPF3.jpg

Hey everyone, I am Rascal, and let me tell you my name fits me well. I am approximately 16 weeks old now and as cute as can be. I am a very happy puppy. I like everyone and everything, I have a great time playing with the boxer girl in my foster home. She is so much fun. I am crate trained and am working on my house training. I am just to young to get it all together right now, but my foster mom says I am doing great. I have learned what no means and will stop what I am doing. I am a very good boy and I try so hard to be good for my foster mom. She is great. I really like the foster home idea, so much better than the shelter and my foster mom and sister are so good to me. WOW what a lucky boy I am.

Furall - Adopted

FurallPF.jpg

I am Furall, I know my name sounds funny but it seems to suit me. I am a 2 year old boxer boy, very well mannered and extremely gentle. I am probably the most gentle boxer boy you have ever met. I get along with all the dogs here and even the kitty. My foster mom says I can be left out uncrated with the hampsters with no problem. I am very loving and get along with people of all ages and sizes. I am not one to destroy anything., the perfect gentleman is what I am. I really enjoy being a rescue boy, for my former life was not very good. I have a few scares from my former life that will be with me forever, you see, I was used as a bait dog. I was tied out and other dogs were let loose to rip and tear at me. My foster parents think it is truely amazing that I get along and play so well with the other dogs after what had been done to me, but I do, I love it here. I cannot be tethered or cabled outside at all, I get to scared of what is coming or may happen next, but I do walk very well on a leash. The leash is much different than being tied out. You will find that I am the perfect gentleman in every way. As much as I love it here, I need a home and family of my own to love me and that I can love with all my heart in return. Are you my new family?

Oscar - Adopted

Oscar2PF.jpg

OscarPF.jpg

Hello, my name is Oscar. I came into rescue as an owner surrender. My family is moving out of state and cannot take me and Sampson with them. I am familiar with using a doggie door, we had one in the garage where we were housed. We never pottied in the garage, we always went outside. I am a little over weight and could stand to loose about 5 lbs. I am not really other dog friendly except with Sampson. We get along great. I have nice cropped ears and docked tail. Just look at how cute I am. I am ready now to find my new home.

Sampson - Adopted

SampsonPF.jpg

Sampson2PF.jpgHello, I am Sampson. As you can tell I look like a Sampson. I may need to loose a pound or two, but that is not a problem. I came into rescue with Oscar, my good buddy, he is really about the only other dog I get along well with. We can be adopted together or seperate. I can also use the doggie door, and have never pottied in the garage either. We are good boys. I am also trying to find a new home and am ready to go. I am up to date on all my vaccines, neutered, and Heartworm negative. Have you been waiting for such a guy as me?

Grace - Adopted

gracecrop2PF.jpg

Hello there, I am known as Grace. I really do like my new name, it seems to fit an older lady of distinction. I am a 10+ year old boxer lady with cropped ears and a docked tail. I have impeccable house manners and very well housetrained, I also walk very well on leash. I have been told by my foster mom that I have an excellent personality and the exuberance of a puppy. I get along with the other dogs here, but am not a cat lady. I find them just to tempting to not give chase. You may think that I am not playful or just want to lay around because of my age. Well let me tell you that is not the case, I still enjoy playing and can still bounce around with the younger ones. Some say my gray face gives an aura of distinction and I have to agree. Please do not let my age stop you from wanting to adopt the perfect boxer girl, I AM THAT GIRL, you need not look any further. I promise the love and caring you will get from me will be plentiful - a whole lifetime worth. My time had come at animal control and I was slotted to be euthanized, the nice lady at animal control called the ladies at the rescue and they came and took me to safety. I was so scared, I knew what was coming, old dogs like me don't stand a chance there. My foster mom promised me that my story would have a happy ending. Will you be the person responsible for writing the final chaper in my life?

Thank You, Grace

Grant - Adopted

KY120.grant2.jpg

KY120.grant.jpgGrant is a very young classic fawn boy. He is approximately 7-9 months old, gets along with most male dogs and females. He was picked up as a stray here in Kentucky and pulled from the local animal shelter. We are unsure about kitties at this time. It appears that Grant is housetrained and has decent house manners. He is fairly calm for his age and seems to get along with children wonderfully. We have found out that Grant will climb a 4' chain link fence, so he would do better in a home with a 6' privacy fence or be taken out on leash regularly. He is learning what crate training is, but really doesn't like the crate just yet. He is in the process of learning a few basic commands and seems to be doing very well.
Adopted

Lucy - Adopted

Lacey4.jpg

Lacey3.jpg

Hi, I am called Lucy. I am approximately 10-12mo old, we are not really sure of my age. I am a beautiful white girl with wonderful spots all over. I am also fully hearing and display great house manners. They also believe that I am housetrained because I have not went in the house. I am crate trained and get along with the other dogs here. We will be cat testing me shortly. I have a great disposition and love playing with children, I am very gentle when playing. The rescue ladies don't think I have much experience with toys but am learning fast. I get along great with the other dogs here at my foster home and really like it, but would love a home of my own. I promise to be a very good girl.
