Brutus-Adopted

Hey there, I am now known as Brutus. I am approximately 18 months to 2 years old. I am a new guy to the rescue program, but I like it so far. I get along with the other dogs here and even the kitty cat, we are sharing a room now. I came in Heartworm positive and have began my treatment. The rescue ladies say I will be ready for my new home in approximately 5-6 weeks. They think I am also fully housetrained. I have been here several days now and have not pottied in the house at all. I am a very good boy. I like being kept inside where it is nice and cool with plenty to eat. I also like a nice soft bed to lay on. I have good house manners and am a fairly laid back guy. I get along great with children of all ages and sizes.

Dinah-Adopted

Hello, I am Dinah. I am 4 years old and a real brindle beauty. I have a mahogany coat with black stripping. I have natural ears and docked tail. I am wonderful with children and am perfectly housetrained with impeccable manners. I am Heartworm negative, spayed and up to date on all my vaccines. I am only waiting for my new forever home. You see I came in as an owner surrender because they had to move and I didn't get to go. I find myself needing a new home with someone to give my love to.

Tina (Tiny Tina)-Adopted
I am known as Tiny Tina because I am so small, but Tina will do. I am approximately 6 months old. I am a white girlie with the cutest fawn spots. I really am an absoltue doll baby with a disposition to match. I have been updated on all my vaccines and am working on what they call house manners and my house training. I get along with the other dogs, but not kitty cats. So my new home will have to be kitty free, they remind me of moving toys and toys are to wrestle, mouth, and play with.
Dollar-Adopted

Hello to ya. I am Dollar. I'm a tiny mahogany female with cropped ears and a docked tail. I am housetrained and have good house manners. I am a very loving little girl and enjoy your company and companionship. I will do best in a home where I am the only fur baby you will have. I am not a cat or dog lady. I am up-to-date on my vaccines and will be spayed prior to adoption. Adopted

Molly-Adopted
Hi, I am Molly. I am approximate 18 months old. I have natural ears and docked tail. I am a little on the small side but tend to be muscular built. I am a gorgeous classic fawn beauty. I am up to date on all my vaccines, spayed and Heartworm negative. I have excellent house manners and am wonderful with children. A home with out any other pets sounds perfect for me. I am not fond of cats or other dogs, rabbits or other furry critters. I am ready and waiting for that forever home the others are talking about. If you think I am the right girl for you, don't hesitate on filling out the application.
Adopted
 Scooter-Adopted

Hey, I also am starting a new life and am getting a new name also, they think Scooter seems to fit me. I am between 15-24 months old. I am a little shorter than the standard male boxer size but am very well muscled. I have already been fully vetted and updated on everything, including that horrible thing they called a neuter. I am heartworm negative and have started preventative. I also get along very well with other dogs, both male and female. They have found out that I love riding in the car, I behave quite nicely in the back seat. The rescue ladies will be posting and finding out much more about me very shortly.
Adopted

Lexi-Adopted

I am a beautiful flashy 11 month old fawn girl with lots of personality. I am currently housed with several canine companions and I don't mind telling you - I hate other dogs. I will have to have a home where I am the queen of my house. I get all the love and attention of my owners and in return they will get all of mine. I do well in the crate and am mostly house trained. I love toys and I love to play! I came into rescue very malnourished and dehydrated but my foster folks have since taken care of all that. Now all I need is a forever home.....would that be with you??????? Lexi Adopted

Floyd-Adopted

Hello everyone, I am now known as Floyd. My veteranarian gave me my new name, he said I looked like a Floyd. I just came in yesterday and was taken straight to the vet for an emergency visit. I am approximately 3-4 years old. As you can tell I am a flashy boy. I was turned into the shelter by someone who had bought the property that I had been abandoned at a year ago. So I have been living on my own that long. I am very thin but the rescue ladies said that is not a problem, I will soon be putting on some weight once we get rid of the worms. I am very timid and shy and scared of strange noises right now but am so very loving to people once I get to know you. It may take me a little bit to stop running from you and start coming to you. I get along very well with the boxer ladies here and with most males. I will chase the kitty if it takes off running but don't think I will hurt it. I do bear a few scares from other dogs that will be with me forever. I also have one eye that has been damaged for some time, but who needs to see out of two anyway. I am a very laid back kinda guy. I have been neutered and updated on all my vaccines, heartworm tested and placed on preventative. The rescue ladies promised I will be very good looking before long, I already feel much better. I have a nice comfortable bed to sleep in or crate if I desire, I am crate trained by the way, have plenty to eat now and am filling out nicely. I will have to have a canine sister for company and to lead me. Adopted
Bobby-Adopted

Hi I am Bobby. I am a handsome semi -flashy, brindle boy with natural ears and a docked tail. I am about 2 years old. I have developed house manners, I can walk on a leash and I get along well with other dogs. I am a stocky guy, but my foster mom has me on a conditioning program - I will be fit as a fiddle soon. I am scheduled to have my neuter the end of this month. Homes with cats need not apply - I will chase little critters. I am always up for a good game of chase the kitty! My former owner became disabled and I couldn't stay in my home of origin. So I am looking for a home that has an opening for a big lovebug ......... Is that you?
Adopted
Sadie-Adopted Picture coming soon. Hi there, I am Sadie. I am a 8 month old boxer mix girlie. I am fawn in color and a little shy until I realize you are a safe person, then I become a total love bug. I am working on my crate training which is going fairly well. I will be updated on my vaccines and spayed before adoption. The rescue ladies are trying to see where my housetraining skills are at. Adopted
Baby Girl-Adopted

Hello there, I am called Baby Girl. I don't know why I was abandoned like I was, guess they didn't want to take me to the shelter. I was dropped over the rescue ladies locked fence. She sure was suprised when she opened the door to let out the other dogs and there I was, happy as can be. I knew right away that I would be loved. I get along with the other dogs here as you can tell by my pictures and even the kitty cat. I don't bother Kitty and Kitty doesn't bother me. I love to play and am a fun kind of gal. I am approximately 10-12 months old and just love everyone, especially the kids down the street who come by to play with us. I appear to be housetrained or so my foster mom thinks and I have good house manners. I am very small compared to the boxer kids here but they love to play with me. We are not sure what I am mixed with but I have the cutest little face, or so my foster mom says. She thinks I am adorable and better mannered than most of the fur kids that come to her house. Guess I am looking for a new home, are you waiting for a cute little thing like me. I promise to love you totally. Sincerely, Baby Girl
Adopted

Jesse-Adopted

Hey there, I am now known as Jesse. I am approximately 1-2 years old and so happy to have been pulled from the shelter on my last day and brought into the rescue program. I have to say I really like the foster home idea. I have a foster mom, dad and skin kids to love and play with me. I don't think I have received such tender loving care before. I am fully housetrained and will go to the door to be taken out. I have good house manners and get along well with other dogs and don't even mind the little furry things called kitties. I do not walk well on leash and will try to pull, but this is a small matter that can be easily worked with or corrected. My foster mom thinks I should have been named WhipIt because of my tail. I cannot help it that I am happy and it just goes and goes. I came in with fly bites on my beautiful ears, but they are starting to heal very nicely. I am a fairly laid back girl but do become quite excited when company comes over or you arrive home. I just love greeting everyone. I also know a few basic commands, such as sit, down, stay, and up (when you would like me to jump on you). I have beautiful mastiff stripping, and am really quite gorgeous. I am up-to-date on all my vaccines and will be spayed shortly. I would love a home with children and maybe a male playmate. I can be reached by contacting the rescue people. Sincerely, Jess Adopted
 Roxie-Adopted
Roxie is approximately 2 years old. She came in as an extreme neglect case along with her 3 puppies. The puppies have all grown and found their forever homes, but Miss Roxie is still waiting. She is a very loving girl but will need to be the only pet in the home. She has wonderful house manners and is fully housetrained, crate trained, and knows some basic obedience commands. She gets along very well with people of all ages and sizes. Adopted

Georgia-Adopted

Hello, I was called Pam by the shelter, but my foster mom thinks Georgia seems to fit me so much better. I can't believe my former people did not see fit to come find me. I spent a great deal of time at the shelter so they could not have missed me. My foster mom says I am the sweetest girl. I am approximately 7-8 years old and I have a permantent head tilt with a little damage to my front shoulder from an old injury. This has not slowed me down at all. My foster mom says the slight head tilt gives me the cutest look of total interest. I get along well with other dogs and won't mind sharing my new home with kitties. My foster home says I am fully housetrained and display wonderful manners. I have been treated for heartworm and placed on preventative, I am spayed and all my vaccines have been updated. I love children of all ages and sizes and would really like a home with children. My foster mom thinks I am the sweetest, most loveable little lady. Adopted

Angel-Adopted
Hi am being called Angel. I was found by a very nice lady in Perry Co. Indiana. I am a very senior lady of 10+ years. The shelter and vets in the area have been given contact info about me in case my owners are looking for me. I will have an ad in the local newspapers as well. Is my family out there looking for me? I want to go home. I deserve to live out my last remaining weeks, months, and hopefully years with my own family. UPDATE 7-26-04: No one has came forth to claim Miss Angel and she is ready for a new home. She is housetrained, very good house manners, gets along with the other dogs here. Angel is a little hard of hearing and is developing cateracts in both eyes, but she is as her name implies. She is a perfect little angel. She loves spending her time laying on the couch all day and night except to eat, drink and potty. She loves getting your attention and enjoys cuddling with you. At her age she is not into playing with toys, but she can still wiggle upon seeing you and still gets excited.

 Tucker-Adopted

Hi ya, I am now known as Tucker, I am approximately 15-24 months old. Since I have a new life beginning the rescue ladies thought I needed a new name to go along with it. I have finished my heartworm treatment and been updated on my vaccines, I have also under went that neuter thingy and didn't like that at all. They said I will be a very good looking fellow when they get through with me. I came in with a skin condition from laying on something very hard and rough, but should heal very nicely. So far I get along well with other dogs, especially the older boxer lady that came with the rescue people to pick me up. They will be observing me to see if I have any problem areas in my temperment, such as food, toys and attention, whether I like kids and they know I don't mind the kitty cats. I really like the people who came and got me, they think I am very sweet and lovable. They also noticed I walk rather well on lead. Please check back to see how well I am doing.
Adopted Jax - DEAF-Adopted
Hi Yeah, I am now being called Jax. I am 4 months old and such a lover. It will take me a while before I can understand what my new foster home is trying to tell me, you see I am DEAF. My foster mom will begin on housetraining me and teaching me hand signals. I am young so maybe I will learn quickly. I don't look to pretty in my pictures but they promised I will have new ones soon. I came in as an owner surrender, I had been tied to a tree with a log chain, no shelter of any kind available and there was not any evidence of food or water available either. As you can tell from my pictures, I was a pitiful sight. I also have demodex that is being treated. So before long I will be a beautiful baby boy again. I already feel much better after my 3 baths. The rescue people will be placing me with a family that has a hearing canine female so I can learn from her. I get along with everyone and everything on 4 legs, yeap even those kitties. Please check back to see updated pics of me and my progress report. Thank you, Jax
UPDATE: Jax is doing very well on his housetraining, he is crate trained, and he has started his treatment for demodex. He is now running and playing like a young boxer boy should. He spent the first week not realizing he could run and play with the rest of the dogs, that he was able to move more than 5 feet in the fenced yard. Now he enjoys being able to run the full length of yard and has so much fun. He loves to play and certainly enjoys the lovin, he loves to be cuddled and held close. More pics will be posted as he improves.
Yippee!!!!!!!! I am adopted, I have a new mom, dad and yeah!!! skin kids to love.

Nellie-Adopted
My new name is Nellie. You may think I have a disability, but really I don't. I can do anything the 4 legged kids do, well maybe just not as fast and furious as they do. I don't see myself having a disability and hope you don't either. I am a very happy girl and love to cuddle up with you. My foster home says I am so very sweet and loveable, and yes gentle. I just came into the rescue program and they haven't learned much about me yet, but will soon. More will be posted as they learn from me. Please check back and keep your eyes on me, Nellie.

Sugar-Adopted
Hi, I am called Sugar becasue I happen to be the sweetest girl around. I hunger for your attentions. I am a very gentle girl, a little on the shy and skittish side at first. I am one of those abused dogs that you read about in the paper sometimes. I adore children and am very gentle in playing with them. I am gentle in most everything I do. I just want to be loved and maybe pampered a little. I ride very well in the car, walk well on leash, and really don't want to get away from your side. They are working on my housetraining skills, and I'm doing very well. I really love playing with toys and can entertain myself for a while but would rather have you playing with me. I get along well with other male dogs. They said I will get my spay shortly, whatever that is. The rescue people don't know about kitties yet. Is my forever home out there somewhere? Adopted

Lisa Marie - DEAF-Adopted
Hi, I am Lisa Marie and I am a very special 2 year old boxer girl. Yes I am DEAF, but you will never know it. I have been in a special program that has taught me hand signals using American Sign Language. I know to ring the bell on the door when I need to go potty, I know my basic obedience commands and do very well. I also get along with other dogs, am very well mannered, but do love to play. I love everyone and enjoy being close to you. You will also find that I will pay better attention to you and what you want than most hearing dogs. I will graduate from my training classes November 3 and will be ready for my new home. Please do not let my deafness bother you, it sure doesn't bother me and hasn't stopped me from my accomplishments. Sincerely, Lisa Marie
Adopted Rosie-Adopted
Hi, I am Rosie. I just happen to be a beautiful brindle lady. I will be up to date on all my vaccines and spayed prior to adoption. I just came into the program so not much is known at this time. More will be posted about me later as the rescue people learn. Adopted

I am known as Bandit, I am 3 months old and they believe I am a Pointer Mix baby. I am learning house manners and what they call potty training, I am also learning all about crate training. I am a busy fella. I have a very cute personality and just love everyone and everything I come in contact with. I am ready for you to take me home.
Adopted
Maggie-Adopted
Maggie is one of the Incredible Puppies saved right off the euthanasia table along with her mother and 2 sister siblings. She is going to her new home at 8 weeks of age. Adopted
Coco-Adopted
Hi, I am Coco. I have had lots of changes going on in my life in the last month. I have settled in here at boxer central and am doing really well. I am working on house training and doing pretty good. My manners are very good, but I am a bit timid in strange situations. I seem to like most dogs but not the ones that act agressively. Sometimes i chase my foster mom's kitty, but no casualties as of yet. So they are thinking I would be okay with cats. I would love to have my very own skin kid to romp and play with. I have been very gentle while in care with my foster mom. I would really like a home of my own for Christmas. Have you been waiting for a girl like me?
Dot (Dottie)-Adopted

I am known as Dot or Dottie by my closest pals. I am a 11 month old white girlie. I come complete with dotted floppy ears and a wonderful wagging tail. Yeap, I still have what I was born with, I call it my leathal weapon, it goes non-stop. I am already spayed and current on all my vaccines. I have been going through something called obedience by my foster mom, and doing very good if I may say so. I know several commands now and also recognize what "GO POTTY" is. I have almost got that housetraining down pat. I am very energetic and love to play, well I am still a baby so what can I say. I enjoy playing, playing, and still more playing, but I also need some cuddle time to. I am so little, I can lay right in your lap and be very comfortable. Hopefully you would rub my head and ears, ahhhh what a life we could have. I am a very sweet and loveable little girl. I even like those furry things called kitties that run away and jump where I can't reach trying to tease me into a game of play. I am interested in having a home where I can have someone with me most of the time, I wouldn't mind having a non-dominate fur brother and some kids to play with. I won't be needing a fur sister, sorry, but one little girlie will have to be enough. I can promise you one little girl WILL BE ENOUGH, I have more than enough love and affection to give to you, my new family.
 Bella-Adopted
Hi, my name is Bella. I was found running stray in a country county and got picked up. When taken into rescue I weighed only 35 pounds. I am now up to 42 pounds and should be about 55 pounds at my ideal weight. I have proven to be somewhat layed back, I am picky who I like when it comes to dogs and cats. But I love kids and am very gentle. I am up to date on all shots and I have been spayed. My foster mom said she named me Bella because Bella means beauty and she sees lots of inner beauty in me. She says when I put on a few pounds I will be as beautiful on the outside as I am on the inside. I may be ready for my new home by Christmas and for sure by New Years. I so want soft, gentle hands to pet and love me. Do those hands belong to you? If so please apply and the nice ladies at the rescue will come talk to you. Please let my forever home find me soon.
Snoopy-Adopted
Hey there, I am Snoopy. I am a 4 year old cropped and docked boy. I am neutered, up to date on my vaccines and ready for my new home. I came into rescue as an owner surrender, my mom had to move back to Yugoslavia and I couldn't go with her. I know my basic obedience commands and am a very playful fellow. I would prefer a home without small children, cats and other dogs. I am fully housetrained and so very loveable.

Jasper
Update: Jasper desperately needs your help. He has a blocked esophagus right above his heart and is unable to keep food or fluids down. Jasper requires intense medial supervision at this time. If you can help Jasper on the road to recovery, all donations toward his very costly expenses are greatly appreciated. Donations can be made by clicking the PayPal link. Thank You
. Hey, I am being called Jasper. I was picked up as a stray by animal control and no one came to claim me, so now I have a new start in life and also a new name. I am under a year old and quite the handsom fellow. The rescue ladies say I have nice house manners, get along with other dogs and even those kitty cats. I love kids and really enjoy playing with them. I walk well on leash, know a few basic obedience commands and love your company. They think I am blind in one eye from an old injury, but can see very well with the other. I am very good at listening to you and crave your attention. Please think of me as your new family member.
