Paris-Pending
New Pics of Miss Paris
6-20-08 Paris is approximately 38 lbs. She is a very small little girl who is absolutely wonderful. She is so loving and gentle. She has all the boxer personality, habits, traits and we just cannot say enough good things about her. We do not understand why no one has shown any interest in this precious little lady. She just wants a chance and her new family would not be disappointed.
12-10-07 Paris thinks she would rather be an only dog in her new home, she doesn't mind sharing her home with kitties, just not other canines.
Paris is a beautiful boxer mix girl of under 2 years old. She looks, acts and has all the traits of a purebred boxer but she does have black hair that has came in along her back. She is housetrained, crate trained and is the sweetest most loving girl. She is ready and waiting for her new family.

Sallie
10-20-07 UPDATE: Sallie has one of the cutest puppy faces around when her mouth is closed. She loves to give those smiles. She is a very happy girl who is waiting so patiently for her new family.
Sallie is a little classic fawn girl of under a year old who is very playful and loveable. She is still in the chewing stage but seems to listen very well, she is housetrained and crate trained. She is also very adapt in her obedience commands. She would make a very good family member, she just needs to be watched and shown what is her toys and what is not.

Lexi 0907
Update: 7-3-08 Check out my new picture and video at http://www.petfinder.org! I've been in my foster home for a long time now and no one has even really inquired about me. What's not to love about me? I'm a gorgeous brindle and still have lots of energy for a middle-aged girl. I am very loyal to my owner and also very obedient. I don't mean to be so clingy, but, for so long I was ignored and abused. I just want someone to pay special attention to me. I'm a real good girl. I'll love you right back and maybe even more so! Being an only child wouldn't bother me a bit, although I still get along with my other foster siblings. Oh, and my thyroid "condition?" It hasn't slowed me down one bit. I've done extremely well on the medication and have not had any more problems. It is a very minor disease. My foster mom says my medicine only costs $11 for a 2-month supply. You can't beat that! Please give me a chance to show you what an awesome dog I am! 11-19-07 Update: Miss Lexi started loosing weight rather quickly and our vet said she has a thyroid condition and will have to remain on meds for this condition. Thyroid meds are rather inexpensive and with a little peanut butter very easy to give.

Thyroid meds are rather inexpensive and with a little peanut butter very easy to give. This is one really nice girl. Lexi is new to the program. She is about 4-5 years old and a gorgeous dark brindle girl. She is housetrained, crate trained but doesn't care for it much. She loves to play fetch and will carry her toys around. She knows all basic commands and gets along very well with all other dogs. This is one fantastic girl.

Polly 0508 Pics
Miss Molly & Polly are 1 year old now and have had all their shots and spay. They are ready for their new home and families.
Molly Polly
Molly and Polly just came into the rescue program with their purebred boxer mom. They are beautiful 7 week old boxer mix pups. They are just starting their vetting and will be available for adoption shortly. They were born under a neighbors building and was brought to the animal shelter a couple days after the mother. From the size of the nursing mother she had several pups but these 2 little girls were the only ones brought in. The owner was contacted and decided he didn't want any of them. These 2 little girls are just learning what it is to have human contact and they are finding it to their liking. We would like to have their homes waiting for them when they are fully vetted and ready.

Sable2
Sable is a reverse brindle (more black than brown) with a very shiney coat. She was rather wild when she left the pound but is learning to walk on a lead, and sit..with treat encouragement. She is very loving and plays well with Hope in the back yard. she has never jumped but acts like she would if we didn't catch her when she gets that..."what is that on the other side of the fence look". She likes to play ball and is learning to bring it back to you. She is house trained potty trained although needs supervision because I don't think she has ever been in the house. She does well in her crate.
She is around 12-15 months old and will need a training class to become the excellent family pet I know she can be.
She would be good for someone with older children who can deal with her abundent energy. She is just a loving girl with no manners.

Celeste
6-21-07 Update: Celeste is fully housetrained and loves to be around her family. She sleeps with her foster dad each night and has learned to trust again. She is extremely happy in her new life. She is an overall wonderful girl. She does need to be an only dog in her new home.
Celeste has had a very hard life for a 2-3 yr old boxer/american bulldog mix girl. She came in from a high kill shelter where she was for the second time. When they found her, she has been bred, attempted to be used for fighting but wouldn't and finally starved and left with untreated mange. She has good reason to fear people with the injustice she has suffered. Celeste is a timid girl and no longer the happy one that left the shelter a year ago. She will be getting a whole new start and hopefully will learn to trust and to love again. She has already been treated 3 times for mange and is starting to regrow some hair. Celeste is now ready for her new home.

Lori Ann-Not Available
UPDATE: 6-22-06 Lori Ann went for a 2nd HW test and will not be treated. She is to high a positive to survive the treatment process. She will live what time she has left with her foster mom who loves her dearly. We will be getting her teeth pulled and cleaned to cut down on the infection next week. She will know what it means to be loved and cared for during the last part of her life. It is a shame this is happening to such a wonderful girl when it could all have been prevented by using monthly heartworm preventative. If you do not have your dog on Heartworm preventative - PLEASE get it tested and placed on monthly preventative. THIS IS THE LIFE OF YOUR PET YOU ARE PLAYING WITH. THIS COULD BE YOUR DOG DYING OF HEARTWORM.
Lori Ann is a 7-8 yr old classic brindle female that was pulled from an extremely high kill shelter. She is very loving and sweet. She is new to the program and we are still learning about her. She is very gentle, gets along well with the other dogs in her new foster home. She has made herself at home on the sofa and follows her foster mom everywhere. She loves attention and is very well mannered. In getting all her vetting up to date she has been found a high heartworm positive. She will not be able to begin treatment as scheduled for we are trying to kill the microfolora so her liver and kidneys can function more properly. She will also be undergoing surgery for her teeth and several will be removed at that time. Please keep your eye on this wonderful girl.
